As her twins, Alfie and Ella approached nursery age, Shona could not find a school in Singapore that reflected her own professional philosophy and high standards, so decided to open the school in February 2008. The original Blue House was located on River Valley Road and in September 2010, the school moved to the quieter location of Turf Club Road, Bukit Timah.

Shona is from the UK and after working for nearly 20 years as a qualified and professional nanny, she moved to Singapore in 2003 and opened ‘figi-uk’, an early years parenting advice service.

With Shona’s experience and passion for early childhood education, the Blue House Nursery is truly unique with a homely environment. Great efforts are made to maintain the high standards and philosophy that the school has become well known for and with a truly dedicated, experienced, qualified and caring team behind them, the Sanosi family will continue to provide the best early childhood experience for their own children, and many others in Singapore.
